• How do I enter the Don’t Throw Away Free Play Promotion?
  You can scan any eligible Virginia Lottery Scratcher or ticket into Virginia Lottery Rewards via the Lottery app or the mobile web version of valottery.com to enter the ticket into this promotion. Winning and nonwinning tickets can be entered into this promotion via those two channels only. If a player wants to enter a winning ticket into the promotion, the ticket must be entered prior to claiming the prize won on the ticket.
• My password is not accepted when I try to log in. What's wrong?
  Most likely, you haven't opened a Virginia Lottery account. You'll need to open an account to enter your ticket(s). Click Sign Up in the top-right corner of any valottery.com page to register. Once completed, click the Continue button.
• I forgot my password. What should I do?
  Click Login in the top-right corner of any valottery.com page, and follow the instructions to have your password emailed to you. You'll need to use the original email address you used to open your account even if it is no longer current.
• I am not able to enter my ticket(s). When I click on Enter Now, I am asked to log in. Why is this happening?
  To enter this promotion, you need a Virginia Lottery online account. To open an account, click Sign Up in the top-right corner of any page. Once completed, click the Continue button.
• Where do I find the barcode that I am supposed to scan to enter the ticket?
  The barcode is on the front of the ticket at the bottom. You will need to use the ticket-scanning function in the Lottery app or on the mobile web version of valottery.com to scan the ticket’s barcode to complete the entry process. The ticket-scanning function uses your mobile device’s camera to scan the ticket.
• I received a message that says my ticket has already been entered. How can that be if I have the ticket in my possession, and what should I do?
  First, check your list of previously submitted entries to verify that the ticket has not been previously entered by you. If it has not, please contact the Lottery by filling out the email form on our Contact Us page. Include all applicable numbers that you tried to enter, and the Virginia Lottery will investigate.
• May I enter a drawing more than once?
  Yes. You may enter the drawing more than once. A player may submit up to 50 qualifying entries per day. A qualifying entry consists of any Virginia Lottery Scratcher or ticket purchased at a Lottery retailer during the promotional period. However, a player is eligible to win only one (1) prize in the drawing.
• I have tickets, but I can't remember whether I have entered them into the drawing. How can I see which tickets have been entered?
  Each time you submit a ticket, it will be shown in your points history. Additionally, an email will be sent weekly during the promotional period to provide additional details on the number of entries.
• May I dispose of the tickets after I have entered them?
  Yes. For this promotion, you do not need to keep your ticket(s) once you have successfully submitted the ticket(s).
• Do I need to be a Virginia resident to enter this Virginia Lottery promotion?
  No. There are no restrictions for out-of-state players. Anyone who is eligible to purchase Virginia Lottery tickets is eligible to participate in this promotion.
• How do I find out if I have been selected as a winner?
  For all drawings, all winners will be notified no more than five (5) business days after each drawing. Winners become official once we've verified they qualify. We check age, identification and entry validity. We will contact winners directly to explain how to claim a prize.
• I submitted several entries into the drawing. Why didn't I win a prize?
  The odds of winning a prize in this promotion depend on the total number of entries received.
