Pick 4 gives you the chance to win up to $5,000 in the base game, and if you add FIREBALL, you can unlock an additional chance to win. You can play Pick 4 online or in the app if you have a Virginia Lottery account. Or you can get a ticket at a Lottery retailer.

How to play Pick 4 with FIREBALL

• First, choose your play amount—you can play for $1 or 50¢.
• Next, select your play type.
• Then choose which drawing you want to play: the day draw, the night draw or both.
• Pick your own three digit number from 0000 through 9999, or choose Easy Pick and let the computer select the numbers for you.

FIREBALL

FIREBALL adds an extra spark to Pick 4.

• After each day and night drawing, a FIREBALL number from 0 through 9 is drawn.
• That number can replace any of the drawn digits to create four additional number combinations. If your selected numbers match any of those combinations, you win a FIREBALL prize.
• Adding FIREBALL doubles the cost of your play, but the add-on improves your chance of winning a prize.
• FIREBALL prizes are separate from and in addition to any Pick 4 prize you may win.

Play Types

One of the reasons Pick 4 is so popular is the variety of ways you can play.4

• With Exact Order, you win by matching all three digits in the exact order drawn.
• Any Order gives you the chance to match all three digits in any order.
• The 50/50 option splits a $1 play between Exact Order and Any Order, which gives you two possible ways to win on one ticket.
• A Combo play covers all possible Exact Order combinations of your four-digit number.

Play Options

Pick 4 offers plenty of ways to keep playing your favorite numbers.

• A Multi‑Draw ticket lets you play the same numbers for up to 91 consecutive draws on one ticket. The price increases with each added draw.
• A Future Play lets you buy a ticket for one future draw date and is available at retail locations only.
• You also could Repeat your play and print the same numbers on up to 20 tickets. That option is also only available at retail.
