Scratchers are a fun way to take a chance on winning a cash prize. Some games also have merchandise prizes, such as vehicles, or second-chance drawings for additional prizes. When games offer significant prizes in a second-chance drawing, the second-chance grand prize could sometimes be considered as one of that game's TOP PRIZES.

When someone claims the last top prize in a Scratcher game, the Virginia Lottery notifies all retailers to stop sales of that game immediately. Retailers are required to stop selling games with no top prizes and must return unsold tickets to the Lottery. For more details regarding the Virginia Lottery's Top Prize policy, click here.
