Internet Entry Rules

The Virginia's Lucky Dog Contest will be conducted from April 14, 2009 and end on May 26, 2009. All Sweepstakes entries must be received by 11:59 pm on May 26, 2009 to be eligible to participate in the contest.

In conjunction with this Sweepstakes, on June 30, 2009 the Virginia Lottery will announce the twenty (20) winners of the Virginia's Lucky Dog Contest.

To participate, a player must submit a non-winning Virginia's Lucky Dog ticket via the internet. A digital photo of the owner’s dog must be uploaded to the Lottery web site contest page to be eligible.

The digital photo will need to be from the highest photo setting on the owner’s digital camera. A chest and above photo of the dog with a white or plain background is required. A photo of only a single dog is what will be acceptable to be included on the Scratcher ticket if the photo is selected. Photos that include the owner, children, other pets etc… will not be eligible of the Contest.

This contest is open to players 18 years of age or older. Players may be required to provide proof of date of birth.
A player may enter the contest more than once as long as a different non-winning Lucky Dog Scratcher ticket is submitted with each entry. However, a player is only eligible to win once (1) as a result of this Contest.
The Virginia Lottery will not be responsible for entries submitted incorrectly or received before the April 14, 2009 start date or after the May 26, 2009 entry deadline date. Such entries shall be deemed invalid.
Persons must correctly enter his or her personal information. The Virginia Lottery will not be responsible for information that is entered incorrectly.

To be eligible to enter the Virginia's Lucky Dog Contest, you must register as a participant with your full name, mailing address, city, state and ZIP code, phone number and a valid e-mail address.

If you have registered for previous second-chance drawings such as the 2 Ways 2 Win Sweepstakes, there is no need to re-register, unless your e-mail address has changed.
To participate, a player must submit the Dog Park Entry Number from one (1) non-winning Virginia's Lucky Dog ticket. The Dog Park Entry Number is the first 14-digit number that is found on the back of the ticket.
A Dog Park Entry Number may be entered only one time.
PLAYERS MUST RETAIN THE NON-WINNING TICKETS THEY ENTER, AS PROOF OF ELIGIBILITY, SO THEY CAN CLAIM THEIR PRIZE IF THEIR ENTRY IS SELECTED.
Players must correctly enter the Dog Park Entry Number found on the back of their non-winning Virginia's Lucky Dog ticket. The Virginia Lottery will not be responsible for Dog Park Entry Numbers that are transposed or entered incorrectly. The Dog Park Entry Number is the first 14-digit number that is found on the back of the ticket.
Photos submitted in the Contest become the property of the Virginia Lottery. No additional compensation will be provided to the owner of the dog if we use the photo on a scratch ticket or in our advertisement of the Virginia's Lucky Dog II Scratcher ticket or any other promotion.
Owners will be required to sign a wavier certifying that they have the rights to the photo submitted in the contest and that they allow the Virginia Lottery to use the photo of their dog and that the Lottery will own the photo rights and usage of the photo.
Winners for this Contest will be notified via email of their winning status. Winners who fail to respond to their winner notification within five (5) business days from notification will forfeit their Prize.
