Mail-In Entry Rules

The Washington Nationals™ 2nd Chance Sweepstakes will be conducted from March 27, 2008 and end on May 27, 2008.

To participate, a player must submit a non-winning Virginia Lottery Washington Nationals™ ticket , available for purchase during the sweepstakes period. Players may enter by US mail, via the Internet or by text message.

In conjunction with this Sweepstakes, one (1) drawing will take place on May 28, 2008 to select the winners for this Sweepstakes.

Entries submitted will be valid for the drawing based on the date the entry is received by the Virginia Lottery.

TheWashington Nationals™ 2nd Chance Sweepstakes is open to players 18 years of age or older. Players may be required to provide proof of their date of birth.
A player may enter theWashington Nationals™ 2nd Chance Sweepstakes more than once as long as a different non-winning Washington Nationals™ ticket is submitted with each entry. However, a player is eligible to win only one prize.
All entries, whether submitted through the US mail, on the Internet or via text message, have an equal chance of winning a prize.
Chances of winning any prize in the Washington Nationals™ 2nd Chance Sweepstakes depend on the number of total entries.
The Virginia Lottery will not be responsible for entries submitted incorrectly, or received before the March 27, 2008 start date or after the May 27, 2008 entry deadline date. Such entries shall be deemed invalid.

To be eligible to enter the Washington Nationals™ 2nd Chance Sweepstakes on the Internet, you must register as a participant with your name, street address, city, state and ZIP code, phone number and a valid e-mail address.

If you have registered for previous second-chance drawings such as the Deal Or No Deal™ Sweepstakes, there is no need to re-register, unless your e-mail address has changed.

To participate, a player must submit the Sweepstakes Entry Number from one (1) non-winning Washington Nationals™ ticket.

The Sweepstakes Entry Number is the first
14-digit number that is found on the back of the ticket.
A Sweepstakes Entry Number may be entered only one time.
PLAYERS MUST RETAIN THE NON-WINNING TICKETS THEY ENTER, AS PROOF OF ELIGIBILITY, SO THEY CAN CLAIM THEIR PRIZE IF THEIR ENTRY IS SELECTED.
All entries received by May 27, 2008 will be entered in the May 28, 2008 drawing.
Players must correctly enter the Sweepstakes Entry Number found on the back of their non-winning scratcher ticket. The Virginia Lottery will not be responsible for Sweepstakes Entry Numbers that are transposed or entered incorrectly. The Sweepstakes Entry Number is the first 14-digit number that is found on the back of the ticket.
The Winners selected will each be notified by an official letter, email or text message sent by the Virginia Lottery. Included with the congratulatory letter will be a Claim form, an Affidavit of Eligibility form, return envelope and a complete copy of the Virginia Lottery’s Washington Nationals™ Official Sweepstakes Rules.

Winners who fail to respond to their winner notification will forfeit their Prize.
To enter using a text message, a player must text their Sweepstakes Entry Number from the back one (1) non-winning Washington Nationals™ ticket to 82568. Standard text messaging rates may apply.

A Sweepstakes Entry Number may be entered only one time.

If your text entry is selected as a Winner, you will be notified by text message sent to your wireless number used to submit the entry.

After sending your physical address to the Lottery, you will be notified by an official letter, email or text message sent by the Virginia Lottery. Included with the congratulatory letter will be a Claim form, an Affidavit of Eligibility form, return envelope and a complete copy of the Virginia Lottery’s Washington Nationals™ Official Sweepstakes Rules.

Winners who fail to respond to their winner notification will forfeit their Prize.
Only one (1) entry per envelope. An entry consists of one (1) non-winning Washington Nationals™ ticket.
Print your full name, address, city, state, ZIP code and daytime telephone number on the back of the ticket. Entries MUST include ALL information to be eligible.
Place the ticket in an envelope no larger than 4.5” x 9.5” and mail to:

Do not send winning tickets to the Sweepstakes entry address. Tickets that have won a prize are not eligible for drawings.
Entries mailed to any other Lottery address will NOT be eligible for the drawing and will not be returned to the player.
Non-winning Washington Nationals™ tickets that have been entered on the Internet are NOT eligible to be mailed in as entries.
